Shipment You may have seen Cat 6 patch cords advertised as 250 Mhz,
350 Mhz, 550 Mhz or 600 Mhz. It seems confusing but here is a brief
explanation. The Cat 6 specification identifies how products need to
perform when tested at 250 Mhz but component manufacturers have
chosen to test their products are higher frequencies to show their
superiority. Many high quality products are advertised this way but
in reality the only way to substantiate the claim of superiority is
to actually evaluate their test data at the higher frequencies and
decide for yourself if you like how it performed. When a patch cord is advertised as 550 Mhz or 600 Mhz it
means that the raw cable was tested at the higher frequency, there
is no practical way to test the assembled cable to those higher
frequencies. The best way to identify superiority in a Cat 6 patch cord
is to look for 100% testing to Cat 6 component
specifications. Most patch cables, even if they are advertised as
550 or 600 Mhz will not pass this test. Click Herefor more information about component rated
